Candidates planning to appear for CAT 2024 need to meet the CAT Eligibility Criteria 2024 set by the Indian Institute of Management. How to Apply for CAT Application Form 2024
To apply online for CAT Common Admission Test candidate can follow these steps:
- Go to the official website of IIMCAT which is https://iimcat.ac.in/.
- On the homepage click on the “register” button.
- Enter your name, date of birth, email ID, and mobile number.
- The OTP will sent to your registered email ID and mobile number for verification
- Create a password to complete registration.
- Now login with the provided user id and password.
- Filling your personal details such as your name, parents’ name, date of birth, gender, nationality, etc.
- Enter your work experience, if any.
- Now select the program for which you wish to apply for and the IIMs you are interested in.
- Upload scanned photograph, signature, caste certificate (is applicable), final year certificate.
- Pay the application fees as per the category. Payment can be done by using debit card/credit card net banking.

Indian Institute of Management conduct CAT exam online in multiple choice questions based. The test is conducted for 3 session and eat session is of one 20 minutes. As per the CAT Exam Pattern CAT exam has three section – VARC, DILR, and QA. Candidate have to solve 56 questions from three sections. The CAT exam 2024 is conducted for a total of 198 marks. Necessary to attempt all questions. The marking scheme of CAT exam is 3 marks are awarded for each correct answer, and negative marking of one marks for each wrong answer.
Candidate must note that there is no negative marking for non-MCQs and skipping questions.
