APAAR ID is introduced by the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. This initiative is part of the ‘One Nation, One Student ID’ program launched by the government, aligning with the NEP. The aim is to provide a unique 12 digit APAAR ID to keep record for their academic progress, co-curriculum achievement and smooth transitions between educational institutions. It is a digital ID card for students enrolled in private and government institutions or universities across India. Schools and colleges can issue APAAR ID cards only with parental approval.

What is APAAR ID Card?

The APAAR is a unique and permanent 12-digit number given to every student to track record of their academic achievements, including academic data, degrees, scholarships, result, award, and price, among other credits. The digital identification will remain with the student throughout their educational career, APAAR ID Card distributed by school and institutions to all students enrolled in pre primary to higher education. This will be in addition to Aadhar ID.

The full form of APAAR ID is automated permanent Academy account registry, also known as one Nation one student id. APAAR is a “Edulocker” through which students can digitally Store, and assist all the academic credits involving results, degrees, diploma, certificate scholarships. This ID is a permanent digital identity for students.

APAAR ID Consent form

APAAR ID constant form will be issued by school or college. The school or college will only provide the APAAR ID card to the student only after parents consent. The parental consent is mandatory to get APAAR ID. Since the APAAR will contain personal details of students like blood group, weight, Height, photograph etc.

The school will provide the APAAR ID consent form to parents who have agreed to apply for APAAR ID Card what they are children. • Take the APAAR ID Consent Form from school/ college or parents can download the APAAR ID Consent Form through the official website of APAAR at https://apaar.education.gov.in/.
• On the homepage click on “RESOURCES”.
• Find the APAAR parental consent form (English) and click on the download icon.
• Now fill out the required details and submit it to the school/college.

APAAR ID Registration Online

To APAAR ID registration candidate must have a valid Aadhar card. Student must have create an account on Digi locker which will be used for e-KYC. After obtaining the APAAR ID Consent Form school and college will proceed to create APAAR ID Card. Check the steps given below for APAAR ID registration.

• Go to the official website of Academic Bank of Credits (ABC Bank) at www.abc.gov.in.
• Afterwards click on ‘ My Account’.
• Select ‘student’ option
• Now click on ‘sign up’ and enter the required details such as mobile number, name, date of birth, gender, etc Details to create a Digilocker account.
• After creating the account on Digilocker, login to DG locker account using your credential.
• Now Digilocker will ask you to share the Aadhar Card information with ABC (Academic Bank of Credits) for KYC verification.
• Select ‘ I agree’.
• Now fill in your Academy information like name of school or university, the class or course and more.
• Submit the application APAAR ID form.
• After you submit the application. APAAR ID card will be generated.
• You can download your APARR ID Card.

How to Download APAAR ID Card

For APAAR ID download students needs to visit Academy Bank of credits official website. The steps are given below:

• Visit the academic Bank of credits (ABC Bank) official website- www.abc.gov.in.
• Login to your account.
• On the ABC dashboard check for APAAR ID Download.
• The APAAR ID will be appear on your screen.
• Now Click on download APAARD ID card.
• The APAAR card will be downloaded on your computer or phone.
