The Indian Air Force released the short notification for AFCAT 1/2025 course commencing in January 2026 on 21st November 2024. The detailed AFCAT 1 2025 notification will be released on 2 December 2024. AFCAT exam is conducted by the Indian Air Force to select eligible candidates for multiple post in flying and ground duty (technical and non-technical). AFCAT 2025 Eligibility Criteria

The AFCAT eligibility criteria 2025 include the candidate’s age limit and education qualification. Interested candidates need to meet the AFCAT 1 2025 eligibility mentioned in the AFCAT 1 2025 notification. The eligibility for ground duty and flying branch posts is given below.

AFCAT Education Qualification

Flying Branch and Ground duty (non-technical) – the candidate must have a minimum of 50% marks i each in physics and mathematics at 10 + 2 level and a graduation degree or BE/BTech degree with the minimum of 60% from recognise University.

Ground duty (Technical) – for aeronautical engineering (Electronic) candidate must have a minimum of 60% marks in Physics and Mathematics at 12th level and a degree in graduation/post-graduation in the field of Engineering Technology from recognised University.

Age Limit

Age limit for flying branch: candidates age limit must be between 20 to 24 years and have bond between 02/01/2002 to 01/01/2006.

Age limit for ground duty (technical & non-technical) – the minimum age limit is 20 years and the maximum age limit is 26 years. Candidate must have born between 02/01/2000 to 01/01/2006.

Marital Status for AFCAT

The interested candidate must be unmarried at the time of commencement of the course and marriage is not permitted during training.
