The Union Public Service Commission has released CDS 2 2025 notification on 28 May 2025 on the official website. The UPSC CDS 2025 Notification has released to recruit 453 vacancies for Indian Air Force, Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy and Officers Training Academy. The CDS 2 2025 application form is available from 28 May 2025 to 17 June 2025. CDS 2 2025 Exam date has been announced. The CDS exam will be conducted on 14 September 2025 through offline mode.

CDS 2025

The CDS exam is a national-level exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) in India to recruit officers for the Indian Military Academy (IMA), the Indian Naval Academy (INA), and the Air Force Academy (AFA). The Combined Defence Services (CDS) Exam is conducted twice a year. Candidate who have a minimum education qualification of bachelor’s degree are eligible to apply for CDS 2 2025. Candidate will be selected on the basis of written exam and SSB interview. Successful candidate will be admitted to their respective academy for training.

CDS 2025 Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for Combined Defence Service candidate must meet specific eligibility criteria mentioned in CDS 2025 Notification. CDS 2025 Application Fees

The UPSC CDS application fees must be paid to submit the CDS 2 application form. The application fees can be submitted through both online and offline modes. The candidate belongs to general and OBC male candidates needs to pay Rs. 200 while candidate belongs to female/SC/ST their is no application fees.

CDS 2025 Selection Process

The detailed CDS selection process will be released along with the CDS 2025 notification. Candidate must read the CDS 2025 notification to know more. The selection process consist of written examination, SSB interview, medical examination and final merit list.

• Written test: Candidates interested in CDS 2025 must clear the written examination. The written examination consist of English, general knowledge and Elementary mathematics.
• SSB Interview: those candidate who qualified Britain test will be both through SSB interview, which includes various personality, leadership and physical assessments.
• Medical examination: candidate who pass SSB interview will selected for medical examination to ensure they meet the physical standards.
• Final merit list: the final merit list will be prepared on the basis of both written test and SSB interview.
• Training and commissioning: successful candidates are sent to their respective training academy :
  • IMA (Dehradun) for army officer
  • INA (Ezhimala) for Naval officer
  • AFA (Hyderabad) for Air Force officers
• Those candidates who complete the training are commissioned as Lieutenant in Army, Sub-Lieutenant in the Navy, and Flying Officers in Air Force.
