• Sandhya Arghya – In evening devotees gather to the river or pounds ( chhath ghat) and offer arghya to the setting sun. This year Sandhya arghya will be performed on 15 November.
• Usha Arghya – before sunrise, the devotees arrive at the Chhath Ghat and offer Arghya to the rising Sun. After this, devotees break their fast. The Usha Arghya 2026 is on 16 November.
