CUET Exam Pattern 2024
The NTA will release the CUET exam pattern 2024 along with the CUET notification 2024 and information brochure on the official website on the official website. The national testing agency has announced the CUET 2024 exam date, the exam will be conducted from 15 May to 31st May 2024 through online mode (Computer-based test) for 3 hours. CUET UG 2024 is conducted in multiple languages. The CUET 2024 exam is divided into three sections which will carry objective type Multiple choice questions in 13 languages-Hindi, English, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Gujarati, Odia, Bengali, Assamese, Punjabi, and Urdu.
In in common University entrance test each question will carry 5 marks, and there will be a negative marking of one mark. CUET Exam Pattern 2024 will have three sections: section 1A, section 1B, general test and domain-specific subjects. section 1A is a language paper, and comprised of 13 languages and candidate can choose any language. Section 1A is a compulsory paper it contains languages like English, Hindi, Assamese etc. Section 1B is also a language paper content 20 languages, those candidate who want to opt other language apart from section 1A can choose from section 1B. Section 1B consist of languages like French, Arabic German etc.
Section II is a Domain specific subject candidate can choose from the list of 27 domain specific subject. The section III is a General test, this section is for those candidate who is interested in applying for general program or courses. CUET Exam Pattern 2024- Section Wise Details
Section 1A-
The section 1A is a language paper of CUET 2024, it offers 13 languages, English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu. It is a compulsory section of CUET UG 2024.
Section 1B-
The section IB is also language paper, it is the addition to Section IA, candidate can choose from 20 languages not covered in section IA. It offers 20 languages these are French, Spanish, German, Nepali, Persian, Italian, Arabic, Sindhi, Kashmiri, Konkani, Bodo, Dogri, Maithili, Manipuri, Santhali, Tibetan, Japanese, Russian, and Chinese.
Section 2- Domain specific subject
The section II of CUET entrance exam is a domains specific subject. In domains specific subject their are a list of 27 subjects, in which candidate can choose a maximum of 6 domain from. The domains specific subject will be same as the NCERT syllabus for class 12. As per CUET exam pattern 2024, the domains specific subject are listed below.

The general test in CUET 2024 can be opted by candidates for vocational/open eligibility/cross stream and other as applicable UG course. General test is an optional section, candidate can choose as per requirement of the participating CUET universities.
CUET Exam Pattern 2024- Marking Scheme
According to CUET exam pattern 2024, the candidate will be awarded 5 marks for each correct answers. CUET exam is having negative marking of one marks for each in correct answers and their will be no marks deduction for an attempted questions. - For Correct answer candidate will get Five marks (+5)
- Any incorrect option marked candidate will be deducted one mark (-1).
- Unanswered/Marked for Review will be awarded no mark (0).
- Additionally, If more than one option is found to be correct then Five marks (+5) will be awarded to only those who have marked any of the correct options in CUET 2024.
- However, If all options are found to be correct then Five marks (+5) will be awarded to all those who have attempted the question in CUET.
