RRB ALP Exam Pattern 2024

The RRB ALP exam pattern 2024 consists of two stages: CBT 1 and CBT 2. Both stages are conducted through online mode in objective type format. In CBT 1 there are four sections with a total of 75 questions to complete within a limited time of 60 minutes. The second stage is known as CBT 2, this stage is divided into parts. Part A consists of 4 sections with a total of 100 questions to be completed within 90 minutes. Part B contains 75 questions which include relevant trade and are to be completed within 60 minutes.

  • This stage is common for RRB (assistant loco pilot) ALP posts. CBT 1 is qualifying in nature i.e, the marks obtained in CBT 1 will not be counted for the final merit list.
  • It is a Computer-based test.
  • CBT 1 consists of 75 questions from maths, General Intelligence & reasoning, general science and general awareness and current affairs.

RRB ALP Exam Pattern for CBT 2

  • The second stage is CBT 2 this stages for assistant loco pilot post and technician post.
  • CBT 2 consist of two part: part A and part B.
  • In CBT 2 total 175 ( part A 100 + Part B 75) question is included.
  • Part A covers for subject namely, mathematics, basic science and engineering, General Intelligence & reasoning, and general awareness.
  • A total of 100 question will be in part A with the time duration of 90 minutes.
  • The marks obtained in part A is used to shortlist candidate for further round of selection.

RRB ALP CBAT

Computer Based aptitude test (CBAT) is only for the candidate who applied for assistant loco pilot in (Railway Recruitment Board) RRB. The question paper is available in both Hindi and English for RRB ALP CBAT. The candidate need to score a minimum of 42 marks in each test battery to qualify. The RRB ALP merit list will be drawn only from amongst the candidate qualifying in aptitude test with 70% weightage of marks obtained in part A of second stage CBT and 30% weight is for the marks obtained in Computer Based aptitude test. As per the notification there is no negative marking in RRB ALP CBAT (Computer Based aptitude test).
