SBI PO Prelims Exam Pattern 2024
The SBI PO Prelims exam is conducted to shortlist candidate for SBI PO mains exam. The SBI PO prelims is conducted through online mode.
- The SBI PO Prelims exam pattern will have three sections like other PO exam: English language, Quantitative aptitude and Reasoning ability.
- The SBI PO Prelims is conducted for a total of 100 objective-type questions English language: 30, Quantitative aptitude: 35, reasoning ability: 35.
- Prelims exam is conducted for the duration of 1 hours. In SBI PO there is a sectional time limit for 20 minutes for each section.
- Negative marking: there is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong attempted question by candidate. Also there is no deduction in marks if the candidate leaves a question an attempted or blank.

SBI PO Mains Exam Pattern 2024
The SBI PO exam pattern for mains comprises of both objective and descriptive sections. Check the comprehensive SBI PO mains exam pattern below.
- The SBI PO exam pattern for mains includes Reasoning & Computer aptitude, Data analysis & Interpretation, General/Economy/ Banking awareness and English language.
- The question paper a total of 250 marks. The time duration given to is 3 hours and for descriptive paper candidate needs to complete in 30 minutes.
- The mains exam have 157 questions. Out of which 155 are objective in nature and 2 questions are descriptive.
- Negative marking: in SBI PO mains exam there is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong attempted question by the candidate. Is the question is unattempted or blank by the candidate then there is no mark deduction.
- Objective test: the objective test is conducted for 3 hour duration and having four section of total 200 marks. The sectional time is divided for every section in objective test.
- Descriptive test: the descriptive test is held for 30 minutes of duration. It includes to questions for 50 marks will be a test of letter writing and essay.

Interview process
Aspirants who clear both SBI PO 2024 prelims and mains exam will be called by SBI for further GD-PI sessions. It is very important for the candidate to clear interview process in order to ensure there final selection in SBI PO 2024 exam. The qualifying marks for interview process will be decided by the bank. The mass allotted to interview are: group discussions: 20 marks, interview: 30 marks.
