The Government of India launched a TAFCOP portal (Telecom Analytics for Fraud Management & Consumer Production) to help users know about the details of SIM cards and manage the mobile connections issued in their name. Through this website, you can easily get information about how many mobile numbers are activated in your name and which number is not in use.

Many people are unaware that their Aadhar card or ID may have been misused to issue multiple SIM cards without their knowledge. Nowadays everyone is using mobile phone, so you must know how many SIM cards are issued using your name and ID. This is because sometimes people misuse your document and take a sim card without your knowledge. So, to stop this kind of fraud the Government of India has created a portal called TAFCOP.

To know how many numbers are registered on your ID you can visit the official website of TAFCOP at tafcop.dgtelecom.gov.in. Enter your mobile number and you will get the list of numbers which is registered with your name or Aadhar card.

Check if Your Number is Being Misused of Fraud SIM registration

• Visit the official website at TAF CO Portal at tafcop.sancharsaathi.gov.in.
• Now enter your 10 digit mobile number.
• Fill up the captcha code if you did not understand the captcha click on refresh.
• Click on the Validate Captcha button.
• You will receive a OTP on your mobile number.
• Enter the OTP and click on Login button.
• You will be able to see the list of mobile number link to your Aadhar.
• If you didn’t recognise a number you can report it directly

How to Report Unwanted Mobile Number on TAFCOP

If you find a number which is not your you can report the unwanted mobile number by following these steps.

• In the list of mobile number link to your Aadhar card if you find the number which is the unknown you can click on the ‘Report’ option.
• You will find the ‘Report’ option given below in the last.
• Give the reason for reporting the number, is required.
• Click on submit request.
• The telecom company will check your complain.
• If they will find the number is wrongly linked, they will disconnect.

As per the Department of Telecommunications, a person can have up to 9 mobile connections. If you are living in Jammu and Kashmir, Assam and the North East, then you have the limit to use 6 SIM cards.
