- High school certificate examination of Cambridge University or International baccalaureate diploma of the international baccalaureate office, Geneva
- General certificate education (GCE) examination (London/Cambridge/Sri Lanka) at the advance (A) level. As per VIT norms, regular NIOS board candidates are also eligible for VITEEE. They should produce the migration come transfer certificate at the time of joining.
- Candidate who have studied regular, full time and formal education are eligible to apply for VITEEE.
- Candidates applying for Undergraduate Engineering admission in 2024 should have secured a minimum aggregate of 55% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology in the qualifying examination (+2/Intermediate).
- Candidate belonging to SC ST category and falling from Jammu and Kashmir/Ladakh and the north eastern state of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Mizoram, Manipur, Meghalaya, Sikkim, Nagaland and Tripura will be eligible with 46% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination.
