The National Testing Agency (NTA) has release the official notification for JEE Main 2026 on 31 October 2025. Every year, JEE Mains is conducted in two sessions: JEE Main Session 1 in January and JEE Main Session 2 in April. The JEE Mains 2026 registration has started from 31 October 2025 on the official website at jeemain.nta.nic.in. The JEE 2026 is an entrance examination conducted for admission to engineering (paper 1), architecture (paper 2), and planning (paper 2B) at various NITs, IIT and GFITs.

JEE Mains 2026 Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the JEE Mains exam candidate must meet certain eligibility criteria set by the National Testing Agency. The NTA JEE Main eligibility includes candidates’ education qualification, nationality check the details below.
- Candidate must be citizen of India. However, foreign nationals, NRIs, PIOs, and OCI are also eligible.
- Students must be 12th pass or appearing from recognised board.
- There is no age limit to apply for NTA JEE Mains 2026.
- Students can appear in JEE Mains for three consecutive years of passing class 12.
Year of Passing
- The candidate who wants to appear for JEE Main must have passed class 12 in 2024 or 2025, or
- Appearing in 2026, class 12th board examination.
- Those who passed before 2023 are not eligible to apply for JEE Main 2026.
Number of attempts
- Students can appear for NTA JEE Main for three consecutive years.
- However, JEE Mains is conducted twice a year (January and April), a minimum of 6 attempts is allowed.
Minimum Marks Requirements
- There is no minimum marks required in class 12 to apply for JEE mains 2026. However, for admission into NITs, IIITs, CFTIs candidate must have 75% aggregate marks (65% for SC/ST) in class 12.

The National Testing Agency has released the JEE main 2026 application form from 31 October 2025 on the official website. - Students needs to enter the required details like name, parents name, email ID, Mobile number, address.
- After completing JEE main 2026 registration candidate needs to fill out application form by providing personal details, educational details.
- Select papers for which you want to appear (B.Tech or BArch/BPlan), exam city preference.
- Upload the scanned image of photograph, signature, class 10 certificate and PWD/PwBD certificate if applicable.
