The UPSC CAPF vacancy has invited candidates for 506 CAPF vacancies. The Commission has released the vacancy for Assistant Commandant (group A) in Central Armed Police Force viz. CAPF Eligibility Criteria 2024
To be eligible for UPSC CAPF AC 2024 candidate needs to meet some specific eligibility criteria prescribed by UPSC. Candidates having a bachelor’s degree graduation from recognised University also citizens of India and have an age limit between 20 to 25 years are eligible to apply for CAPF (Central Armed Police Force).

- A Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1st Jan 1962 to permanently settle in India.
- A person of Indian origin who migrated from Myanmar, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and East African countries to permanently settle in India
Education Qualification:
- Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s Degree/Graduation from any recognised university to be eligible for UPSC CAPF AC 2024
- Also, Applicants who appear in the final year of their degree course can apply for the exam but they have to produce the final year mark sheet.
Age Limit
The Union Public Service Commission has prescribed the age limit for CAPF. The minimum age limit of the candidate is 20 years and the maximum age limit is 25 years. Also, there will be no restriction on the number of attempts. Candidates can apply online until the maximum age limit is exceeded.

CAPF Exam Pattern 2024
The Written examination consists of two papers: paper 1 and paper 2. The Paper 1 and 2 will be in lingual language (Hindi and English) excluding English paper. Paper 1 is conducted online and consists of objective-type questions of a total of 250 marks and conducted for the duration of 2 hours. In paper one there is a negative marking of 1/3rd marks for each wrong answer. While paper 2 is a descriptive format paper.
It is to be noted that Paper 1 is the qualifying stage and Paper 2 will only be checked for those candidates who qualify the Paper 1.
