The Union Public Service Commission is all set to release UPSC CDS 2024 notification on 15 May 2024. The CDS 2 Notification will be available on upsc.gov.in. The full form of CDS is Combined Defence Services. UPSC CDS is a national-level exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission in India. UPSC CDS 2 Eligibility 2024
To be eligible for CDS 2 exam 2024 candidate must meet a list of requirements to be considered for CDS exam. The eligibility criteria for UPSC CDS 2 includes nationality, age limit, marital status, education qualification, physical standard and other requirements. CDS Nationality
A candidate must be either:
- A Citizen of India, or
- A subject of Nepal, or
- A subject of Bhutan, or
- A Tibetan refugee who came over to India before January 1, 1962, to permanently settle in India, or
- A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, and Ethiopia or Vietnam intending to permanently settle in India.
- Candidates who are not Indian citizens must have an eligibility certificate issued by the Government of India.
CDS Education Qualification

For Indian Military Academy & Officers’ Training Academy – Applicant must have a graduation degree (any subject) from a recognized University or equivalent.
For Indian Naval Academy– Candidates must have completed their Graduation in Engineering from a recognized University/Institution.
For Air Force Academy– The Aspiring candidate should hold a bachelor’s degree from a recognized University (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or a Bachelor of Engineering.
CDS Age limit
The candidate appliance for UPSC CDS 2024 strictly meets the age limit set by Union Public Service Commission. The detailed CDS 2 2024 age limit for admission to Indian Military Academy (IMA), Indian Naval Academy (INA), Indian Air Force Academy, and officers’ Training Academy has been mentioned below.
- For IMA- The male candidates must be unmarried, born not earlier than 2nd January 2001 and not later than 1st January 2006, and are only eligible for the Indian Military Academy.
- For Indian Naval Academy- The male candidates must be unmarried, born not earlier than 2nd January 2001 and not later than 1st January 2006 only are eligible for Indian Naval Academy.
- For Air Force Academy- The applicant’s age is between 20 to 24 years as on 1st January 2025 i.e. born not earlier than 2nd January 2001 and not later than 1st January 2005 to be eligible for Air Force Academy.
- Officers’ Training Academy–
- (SSC Course for men) The male candidate must not be bought earlier than 2nd January 2000 and not later than 1 January 2006.
- (SSC women non-technical course) the women should not born earlier than 2 January 2000 and not later than 1 January 2006.

Aspiring candidate applying for CDS 2 2024 application form can follow these steps mention below:
- Firstly Visit the official website of UPSC at upsc.gov.in.
- Afterwards, Go to Part I of the CDS registration form 2024
- Enter all the personal information such as contact details, and preference of academies.
- Now Submit it and the registration ID will be generated
- The registered ID and password will be sent to your registered mobile number and email ID.
- Afterwards, log in to Part II of the CDS online registration with registration credentials provided during registration.

The CDS 2 exam pattern for Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy and Air Force Academy is conducted for 2 hours.
