The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the CTET February 2026 notification on 27 November 2025 on the official website. The CTET application form 2026 for the February session has started from 27 November 2025. Candidates who are interested for 21th edition of CBSE CTET 2026 exam can apply online on the official website at ctet.nic.in. The CTET February 2026 exam will be conducted on 8 February 2026 in offline mode.

The CBSE has open CTET 2026 registration for 30 days. Candidates are advised to apply online before the CTET application form last date 2026 which is 18 December 2025. CTET exam opens the gate for candidate who wants to become a teacher for classes 1 to 5 and classes 6 to 8.

CTET February 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Candidate who wants to appear for CTET Feb 2026 must meet certain Eligibility requirements related to educational qualification and age. The CTET examination is conducted for two papers- Paper 1 (for class 1 to 5) and Paper 2 (for classes 5 to 8) check the eligibility criteria according to papers you want to appear for.

CTET Eligibility- Paper 1

• Candidate must be 12th pass with at least 50% marks and a 2 year diploma in elementary education (D.EI.ED).
• 12th pass candidate with 45% marks and D.EI.ED as per NCTE norms.
• 12th pass with 50% marks and a four year Bachelors of alimentary education B.EI.ED.
• Applicant must be 12th passed with 50% marks and a two year diploma in education (special education).
• Graduation + 2 year D.EI.ED.

CTET Eligibility- Paper 2

• Candidate who wants to apply for upper primary must have graduation + 2 year diploma in elementary education D.EI.ED.
• Graduation with at least 50% marks plus B.Ed
• Graduation with at least 45% marks plus B.Ed as per NCTE norms.
• Candidate must be 12th pass with 50% marks plus 4 years B.EI.ED.
• 12th pass with 50% marks plus 4 year BA/BSc.Ed or BA.Ed/BSc.Ed.
• Graduation with at least 50% marks + 1 year B.Ed (special education)
• Post graduation with at least 55% marks + 3 year integrated B.Ed-M.Ed.
