As per the examination calendar by NTA, Central University entrance test (CUET 2024) is going to conduct between 15 May 2024 and 31st May 2024. What is CUET?
The Central University Entrance test (CUET) is a National level entrance examination conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). CUET serves admissions into undergraduate (UG) programs across various central universities and other participating institutions in India. The CUET examination was first introduced in 2022. CUET 2024 Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for Central University Eligibility Test (CUET) candidate needs to follow some criteria set by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The eligibility criteria for CUET 2024 are candidate must be 12th passed by recognised board and also, class 12 students who are not yet appeared for board exam are eligible. Candidate must be citizen of India and there is no age limit for CUET 2024. So all candidate must carefully understand the criteria before applying the application form.
Education qualification
- That candidate must be class 12th pass out with a minimum of 50% marks. The appearance from the SC/ST category must have 45% marks in class 12 to become eligible for the CUET exam.
- In class 12 students must have relevant subjects for CUET.
- Additionally, why pursuing class 12 board examination candidate can apply for CUET examination 2024. Indeed time of counselling they would need to present the passing certificate.
Nationality
- To be eligible for CUET exam 2024 candidate must be a citizen of India.
- A subject of Nepal, Bhutan is also eligible for CUET exam.
- Refugees from Tibet who arrived in India before 1st January 1962, intending to settle permanently.
- Permanently migrated to India from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, zombia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, Vietnam, East African countries Kenya, Uganda, United Republic of Tanzania.
Age limit
As per the notification of the National Testing Agency (NTA) for CUET examination, there is no or maximum and minimum age limit to participate in the examination. Only candidates needs to meet the education qualifications are eligible for CUET 2024.
Number of Attempts
For the Central University eligibility test, there is no limit of attempt for the candidate. Interested candidates can take the exam as many times provided they full fill the other eligibility requirements.

CUET 2024 Exam Pattern
The CUET 2024 exam will be conducted through Hybrid mode. The CUET 2024 exam pattern have been divided into three sections: Section IA, section IB is a language paper, section II is a domain subject and section III is a General test. Candidates are allowed to select maximum of six subjects from all sections. Section IA one is the compulsory subject it includes 13 languages candidate will have the option to choose the language of their choice. Section IB is optional for students who want to opt for other languages apart from the ones that are part of section IA. The CUET 2024 question paper carry 5 marks for each correct answers and their will be 1 mark negative for each wrong answers.
