NEET Exam Pattern 2024

The NEET exam pattern for 2024 has been released by the National Testing Agency (NTA) along with the NEET notification and the Information Bulletin. The NEET 2024 pattern remains the same as that of last year. The NEET 2024 syllabus has been reduced and added, as well as the NEET Eligibility Criteria.

NEET UG 2024 is conducted in Paper-Pencil-Based or offline mode for 3 hours 20 minutes or 200 minutes. The NEET 2024 question paper consists of a total of 200 questions, out of which the candidate needs to attempt 180 questions. In the NEET UG exam pattern 2024, all questions are multiple-choice questions (MCQs), with 4 options and one correct answer. The NEET pattern 2024 consists of three subjects namely Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

Biology is further divided into zoology and botany. The maximum score in NEET exam is 720 marks. As per the NEET exam pattern 2024, Each subject is divided into two sections, section A carrying 35 questions and section B carrying 15 questions (Candidate needs to attempt only 10 questions). NEET 2024 is conducted in 13 languages, including English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Odia, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu, Malayalam and Punjabi. Candidate can select their Preferred language while filling out the NEET 2024 application form. NEET UG 2024 will be scheduled to be conducted on 5 May 2024 from 2:00 p.m. To 5:20 p.m.

As per the exam pattern of NEET 2024, each question carries four options for the answer, out of which the candidate will have to select the correct answer. According to NEET UG exam pattern each correct answers carry 4 marks and 1 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. NEET 2024 Distribution of Marks

The total marks in NEET exam is 720 marks. In NEET exam pattern 2024, for every correct answer candidate will be awarded 4 marks, and for each incorrect answers, one marks will be deducted as a penalty for wrong answer. It is note that no marks will be deducted for questions that are not attempted.

  • The maximum score in the NEET exam is 720 marks.
